Notes

The butterfly is rare in the montane glasslands at high elevations.
In Thailand, only a few specimens have been obtained from the top of Doi Chiang Dao, however these are all old records only, and may have been extinct together with Bhutanitis lidderdalii ocellatomaculata by the large forest fires of the 1980s. Further habitat surveys are needed.
