Notes

The butterfly is uncommon in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 800 - 1100m).
Specimens from Kanchanaburi and Tak (Mae Chan dist.) seem to be ssp.uniformis, but these are only from the under side of nature photos. The taxa angelica and uniformis seem to be distributed separately in the northeastern and southwestern mountain ranges of Umphang. Further taxonomic and distributional studies are needed.
