The butterfly is locally not uncommon in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 450 - 900m).
Males often come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
The female is mostly a form of mimicry of Eupleae radamantus (Danainae) and looks exactly like it in flight.
