Notes

The butterfly is not rare in montane dense forest at low to moderate elevations (Alt.200m - 500m).
Monastyrskii,2011 synonymized both siamensis and gabrieli with the nominotypical subspecies. However, I treat them separately due to their morphological differences. Thus, I consider the records of south-central Vietnam region as ssp.siamensis due to its geographical distribution. Furthermore, the relationship of taxa aliris and lathy is still unclear and hitherto sympatrically of both taxon has been unconfirmed. Further distributional research and taxonomic study are needed.
