Notes
The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 30 - 550m) and is frequently found along streams around bamboo forests.
The white spots on the forewing of both sides tend to decrease from north to south.
The specimens in Yala, the southernmost part of Thailand, white spots are often absent above space 4.
Some individuals in the population from Ranong appear to be transition to the nominotype subspecies.
