The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at high elevations (Alt. 1500 - 2200m).
Ek-Amnuay,[2007],2012 recorded this species from 'Doi Pha Hom Pok, Chiang Mai', however, it is considered to be an erroneous location. In that area, Neope armandii is not rare but Neope bhadra has never been found until now.
