Notes

Huang (2023: 312) treated moupinensis as a distinct species and mentioned that the Vietnamese mansonia is possibly its synonym. I agree with the opinion that mansonia is a synonym of moupinensis. I also agree that moupinensis is probably a different species. However, I would like to suspend this until the results of a molecular analysis are available. Previous records of mansonia from Laos are considered to be Lethe dura dura, as noted by Lang (2020: 63). Further taxonomic and distributional studies are needed.
