Notes
The butterfly is locally not uncommon in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (30–550 m a.s.l.) and is frequently found on forest paths and forest edges.
Males are occasionally observed mud-puddling along stream banks and at puddles.
There is a view that the Indochinese taxon is ssp.birmana, but on examination of the material, there is no difference to ssp.eudoxa from W. Malaysia.
Therefore, I treat it as ssp.eudoxa.
