The figured specimen shown above is the first record from Thailand and is known from only a few specimens until now.
The butterfly is rare and is found on the top of the high mountains (Alt. 2200m).
Here I tentatively treat virgoides as a synonym of virgo, but as also noted by Huang & Zhu (2018), they are likely to be separate subspecies or different species.
The relationship between the two requires further taxonomic study.
