The butterfly is locally uncommon in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 700 - 1400m).
Males are territorial on shrubs at hilltops.
The first discovery in Thailand was a photo taken by Supat Sophonviwatkul on 13.Aug.2013 in Kamphaeng Phet, W.Thailand.
And Prasobsuk Sukkit obtained a male on 01.May.2016 in Yala, P.Thailand.
It seems to be distributed along the Tenasserim range from peninsular to western Thailand.
