Notes
The populations from Peninsular Thailand are different from the nominotypical subspecies.
The orange patch on the UpF of Ranong specimens are much darker in the male and quite reduced in the female;
also the orange marking on the UnF of both sexes are brighter.
A male specimen from Nakhon Si Thammarat is also slightly different.
The orange patch on the UpF is much darker and more reduced than Ranong specimens.
It may be a tendency of the male red patch on the UpF to get darker and smaller towards Ranong and southwards to Nakhon Si Thammarat.
I have seen a single photo in nature of a specimen from Phetchaburi and it looks like Ranong ones, rather than those from further north.
I provisionally treat these as an unknown subspecies.
Comparison and confirmation with many specimens from different localities in the Peninsular region are needed in future.
