The butterfly is not rare in montane primary forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 30 - 700m). They often fly out from bushes along the trail and rest on the underside of leaves.
Pinratana,1981 recorded it from 'Bangkok', but this is somewhat doubtful. Further distributional research is needed.
