The butterfly is uncommon in primary forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 30m - 700m).
The population from Chiang Mai has pale ground color and reduced markings on the UnH.
I provisionally regard it as dsf of ssp.thria, however, further taxonomic study is needed.
