Notes
The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at moderate to high elevations (Alt. 780 - 2000m).
Males are territorial on trees at hilltops.
In some places, it occurs sympatrically with Pratapa icetoides.
The records of Pratapa contractus by Nakamura et al. (2010) and Nakamura & Wakahara (2012) from Laos are considered to be this taxon.
