The butterfly is uncommon in montane semi-dried forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 500 - 900m).
Males are occasionally territorial on trees at hilltops from 14:00 - 16:00.
Godfrey (1916) recorded a female from "Chonburi", however, it is possibly Dacalana sinhara aoyamai.
Further distributional research is needed.
