The butterfly is locally common in montane forest at moderate elevations and male makes a territory on the trees.
Example of Vinh Phuc, N.Vietnam seems thyia. It was described by de Nicéville,[1893], based on a male specimen from Khasi Hills, Assam and this taxon is still unclear.
It might be the seasonal variation of albiplaga as Evans,1932 pointed out, therefore I regard it as ssp.albiplaga provisionally. Further study is needed a relationship of these taxa.
