One of the main characteristics of this subspecies in the original description,
"1. A well-developed albescent tinge in the submarginal area within cells 1b and 3-5", is not specific to this taxon, but is occasionally observed in other species as well.
This phenomenon is thought to be caused by external factors.
It seems to be particularly common in specimens collected in high humidity.
