Notes
The butterfly is not rare in montane forests at low elevations (Alt. 30 - 350m).
The specimens shown above as Arhopala sp. are very small with forewing length of 12-14 mm, and are occasionally found in peninsular Thailand.
The upperside is monochromatic and strongly shining bright purple.
It could be Arhopala tropaea, but the characteristics do not match those of either muta, moorei or tropaea.
The relationship of moorei, muta and tropaea is still unclear.
Further taxonomic studies especially with molecular analysis are needed.
