The butterfly is not rare in montane forest at low elevations (Alt. 10 - 30m).
This subspecies is confined to Langkawi and Koh Tarutao. The figured specimen shown in Ek-Amnuay,[2007],2012 from 'Thale Ban' is considered to be from Koh Tarutao.
