Notes
The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 400 - 700m).
Males are territorial on trees and frequently come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
Eliot (1990) regarded dentata as a subspecies of acuta.
Kimura et al. (2014) treated it as an independent species due to the differences of markings.
I follow Kimura provisionally due to the shape of the genitalia, however further taxonomic study is needed for acuta complex.
The species has prominent discocelluler black bar on the UpF and male is more deep reddish tinge than bulis.
Some examples look very similar to other allied species, examination of the genitalia is needed for identification.
