Notes

The butterfly is not uncommon in lowland forests (50–450 m a.s.l.). Males are frequently observed mud-puddling along stream banks and at puddles.
The records from continental area are most likely misidentification of dentata as Kimura et al. (2014) pointed out or metayei. I have never seen any reliable specimens, at least from continental Thailand and Laos. However, it is assumed to be distributed along Tenasserim and Dawna ranges from peninsular to western Thailand. Further distributional research is needed.
