The butterfly is not rare in montane forests at low elevation (Alt. 50 - 450m).
Males frequently come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
The records from continental area are most likely misidentification of dentata as Kimura et al. (2014) pointed out or metayei.
I have never seen any reliable specimens, at least from continental Thailand and Laos.
However, it is assumed to be distributed along Tenasserim and Dawna ranges from peninsular to western Thailand.
Further distributional research is needed.
