Notes
The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at moderate to high elevations (Alt. 700 - 1600m).
Males are territorial on undergrowth at forest edges.
This species has both individual and seasonal variations, and females in particular are very variable.
Ek-Amnuay ([2007]) described a new ssp.sukhumalindi from Koh Chang, Trat ; Koh Tarutao, Satun and Than To, Yala from specimens in P.Sukkit collection, however this is an unavailable name.
Moreover I examined all specimens in the Sukkit collection and no specimen had identical location and date as the original description.
All drumila specimens came from North Thailand (Mae Hong Son ; Chiang Mai ; Nan).
Therefore I compared them with illustrated specimens in Ek-Amnuay ([2007],2012) and a male and a female specimen matched them.
The data is mentioned above.
I consider the data in the original description is incorrect.
