Notes

New to Thailand. The first record from Thailand is shown on Wikipedia with a male specimen obtained in Khao Soi Dao, SE.Thailand on 15.Aug.1987.
The butterfly is locally uncommon in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 350 - 1000m). Males are territorial on shrubs at forest edges.
The photo recorded by Kosterin (2020) is possibly this species. However, the individual in the photograph is damaged and the features are not clearly visible. Confirmation by specimen is required.
