Notes

The butterfly is uncommon in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 300 - 1200m).
The population from Nakhon Nayok was discovered by Masakazu Hayashi in 2021. Very surprisingly, the female of this area is polymorphic. Some specimens have conspicuous orange spots on the UpF. This probably corresponds to a seasonal form (dry season form). No such female polymorphism is known for the taxon Poritia manilia. However, even in this region, only the rainy season form females are known to occur in the dry season under natural conditions. This particular dry-season form could be a form that only appears in breeding environments.
On the other hand, I suspect that the population from Yala may be the nominotypical subspecies. Further taxonomic and distributional studies are needed.
