Notes
The butterfly is common in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 50 - 550m) and frequently comes to rotten fruits that has fallen to the ground.
The populations from Nakhon Nayok in central Thailand to southeast Thailand are considered to be this taxon.
In females of the population in Sa Kaeo, E. Thailand, individuals with markings similar to that of the nominotypical subspecies may rarely be found.
It might be a transition between subspecies has begun.
The populations from Koh Samui and Koh Phangan in P. Thailand closely resemble this taxon in both sexes.
Therefore I treat it as ssp.affinis tentatively, but further taxonomic study is needed.
