The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forest at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 30 - 700m).
Males are occasionally territorial on trees at hilltops.
Talbot,1936 recorded this species from northern Thailand, but the description suggests that it is Euthalia djata osadai.
Apart from the type specimen, this taxon has only been found in peninsular Thailand south of Ranong.
I suspect that the type locality 'Bangkok' in the original description may be an erroneous locality.
Further distributional research is needed.
