Notes
The butterfly is not rare in montane forest at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 30 - 700m).
Males are territorial on shrubs or undergrowth.
Tsukada,1991 described ssp.picturatus from Ranong, however, the taxon is highly variable and is considered to be a synonym of ssp.asoka.
