The butterfly is not rare but rather localized in montane primary forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 250 - 600m) and is often found on forest paths or forest edges.
Ek-Amnuay ([2007],2012) recorded it from 'Than To, Yala', however, no one has ever seen a specimen from peninsular Thailand until now.
And Pinratana (1979) recorded it from 'Kanchanaburi', but it is also dubious.
I consider these are likely to be incorrect data.
Further distributional research is needed.
