This rare butterfly is distributed from the north to the peninsular, but only three specimens have been confirmed in Thailand.
It may not be that rare in fact, just not found due to its close resemblance to related species.
In Chiang Mai, it was flying slowly over the undergrowth along a forest path in a montane semi-dried forest at Alt. 560m.
Pantoporia hordonia, sandaka and paraka are found sympatric with it.
