Notes
The butterfly is locally and seasonally common in montane forests at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 350 - 1200m).
Males frequently come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
Kawahara (2013) synonymised all taxa with the nominotypical subspecies.
However, I consider some taxa to be good subspecies.
Therefore, I tentatively follow the conventional classification.
