The butterfly is uncommon and there are only a few reliable records from Thailand. The previous records are unreliable because of confusion with other species. The records of Taractrocera samadha in Godfrey (1916) and Taractrocera ziclea samadha in Godfrey (1930) are probably Taractrocera archias. Further distributional research is needed.
