The butterfly is locally common in montane forests at moderate to high elevations (Alt. 550 - 1600m). Males occasionally come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
Godfrey,1916,1930 recorded this taxon from Chonburi, but it is rather doubtful. Further taxonomic and distributional studies are needed.
