Notes
Hao Huang (2026: pers. comm.) pointed out that all previous records of Pedesta fusca fusca (Elwes, 1893) in Thailand were misidentifications. It appears to be Pedesta thandaunga (Evans, 1926) from Kayah State, Myanmar, based on a comparison with the type specimen. Furthermore, the genitalia of this population is almost identical to those of Pedesta jinoae Huang, 2019 from Yunnan. P. jinoae might be conspecific with P. thandaunga. Further taxonomic study is needed.

The first record from Thailand is the above specimen on 12 April 1993 at Omkoi district, Chiang Mai. The butterfly is locally not rare in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 900 - 1300m). Males occasionally come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water. The female is unknown.
