Notes
The first discovery from Thailand is the above specimen in Sep.1990 at Doi Phu Kha, Nan.
Ek-Amnuay ([2007],2012) recorded this specimen as collected in "April", which is incorrect.
The butterfly is uncommon in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 500 - 1200m).
Males occasionally come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
Lee (1979) described the taxon Sebastonyma medoensis from Tibet.
However, all the characteristics he described seem to be included in the variational range of Sebastonyma dolopia.
I suspect that medoensis and dolopia are conspecific, as suggested by Huang (2003:18).
Further taxonomic study is needed.
