Notes

This is the first record from Laos.
The butterfly is locally not rare in secondary and montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 1000 - 1300m) and is often found at forest edges and grasslands. Males are territorial on undergrowth. Both sexes visit flowers and males occasionally come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
The illustrated specimen in Ek-Amnuay,[2007]; 2012 from Wiang Pa Pao as Aeromachus dubius impha and Kimura et al.,2011 from Doi Angkhaan as Aeromachus stigmata shanda may be females of this species by wing shape and markings.
