Notes

The butterfly is uncommon in montane forests at moderate elevations (Alt. 1000 - 1300m). They often fly out from bushes along the trail and rest on the underside of leaves with their wings spread.
This taxon was described as a distinct species by Eliot,1984. However, there is no significant difference between the male genitalia of this taxon and Celaenorrhinus aspersa. Thus, I treat this taxon as a subspecies of Celaenorrhinus aspersa.
