Notes

The butterfly is locally not rare in montane and secondary forest at low elevations (Alt. 10 - 400m).
Both ssp.menetriesii, ssp.limborgii and intermediate individuals are found sympatrically in the Ranong area. It seems to be the transition zone between the two taxa, as noted by Kimura et al.,2016. Further distributional research is needed.
This species is indistinguishable from several similar species by the UnH markings. The androconial brand on the UnF and the UpF markings must be examined.
