The butterfly is very rare in coastal forest.
In Godfrey's time (1910s) it seemed to be not rare in the coastal forests around Chonburi to Chanthaburi province, S.E.Thailand. However, it has never been seen since, except for the single female specimen shown above, which was collected in Trat province. Further distributional research is needed.
