The butterfly is common in montane dense forests mixed with bamboo at low to moderate elevations (Alt. 50 - 500m) and often comes to rotten fruits that has fallen to the ground.
They prefer in the dark jungle and suddenly fly out from below and quickly fly away into the bush.
